In a statement to the press, Premier Petre Groza today reiterated his position of two years ago in support of Zionist aspirations in Palestine.
He asserted that he was “convinced that but for imperialist machinations ##ews and Arabs would have agreed to the creation of an independent bi-national state.” The Premier concluded that under the present circumstances it is necessary to divide Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states.
