Seven Nazi Generals Get Prison Terms for Murder of Civilians, Deportation of Jews

Seven Nazi generals were today convicted by an American J. tribunal here of various war crimes including the murder of civilians and the deportation, of large numbers of Jews to Nazi concentration camps and slave labor gangs.

The generals, headed by Field Marshal Wilhelm List, over-all Nazi commander in the Balkans, received prison sentences ranging from seven years to life imprisonment, in the case of List. Two other generals were acquitted. All served in the Balkans during the occupation.
