Former Governor Herbert H. Lehman has accepted the honorary presidency of the American Friends of the Alliance Israelite Universelle, it was announced here today by the New York office of the organization. At the same time, it was made known that the Alliance is expanding its operations to all sections of the United States as well as to Central and South America.
