Egypt Releases Fourteen Arrested French Jews Following Representations from Paris

Fourteen French Jews who were detained in Egypt as a result of the anti-Jewish feelings there, have been released this week, according to reliable reports reaching here today. The release followed representations by the French Government.

A large number of Jewish immigrants left the French port of Marseilles today aboard a transport en route to Israel. They arrived in France from displaced person’ camps in Germany and Italy.
