An official announcement released here today stated that Foreign Minister Moshe Shertok will head the Israeli mission to the United Nations. Aubrey S. Eban, head of the Israeli mission to the U.N. Security Council, will continue to represent Israel during Shertok’s absence.
(The New York Times today reported from Paris that Britain is prepared to veto an Israeli application for membership in the United Nations. It credited this report to “responsible sources” and said that this would be the first British veto at the U.N.)
