The Israeli legation in Bucharest Is continuing its efforts to obtain the release of seven Israeli citizens arrested a number of weeks go on charges of having “intervened in Rumanian internal affairs” and “organizing anti-government demonstration,” it was revealed here today. Thus far all efforts by the legation have proven unsuccessful.

Asked to comment on the fate of the seven, an Israeli Foreign Ministry spokes## today declared that the Jews had been sent to Rumania as representatives of the ?orld Zionist Organization. To the best knowledge and belief of the Israeli officials here the charges against the seven are groundless. Several weeks ago the Rumanian authorities agreed to the release of four of the detained men, but no action has yet been taken in the matter.
