Special Body Will Review “oliver Twist” Before It is Publicly Exhibited in Turkey

Emin Erishirghil, Minister of Interior, today promised Salomon Adatto, a Jewish member of the National Assembly, that the British film, “Oliver Twist” which has been branded anti Semitic and has been banned in Berlin and in the U.S. zones of Germany and Austria will be examined by a special committee before it is released for public exhibition.

Earlier, it was announced that the British movie would be premiered in an Istanbul motion picture theatre. Deputy Adatto promptly appealed to the Turkish Interior Minister to ban the showing.
