The bill to establish a Congressional Near East survey commission to go to Israel as the first step in implementing the President’s program for aiding underdeveloped areas was today referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs for consideration, Its referral to the committee is considered a favorable sign because three of the Committee’s members are sponsors of the bill.
