Soviet Foreign Minister Discusses Trade Relations with Israeli Minister to Moscow

The conversation conducted yesterday between Mordecai Namir, newly-appointed Israeli Minister to the Soviet Union, and Foreign Minister Andrei Y. Vishinsky, lasted almost a half-hour and was held in an “animated spirit of friendliness and understanding,” Israeli sources here reported today. The two discussed Israeli-Soviet trade relations, the economic situation of the Jewish state and the Lausanne peace negotiations, it was revealed. Until his appointment recently as Minister, Mr. Namir served as the legation’s charge d’affaires and counsellor.
