A British Government guided by the Conservative Party would regard both the Arabs and the Israelis as friends, Richard A. Butler, former Conservative Minister of Education, declared today at a press conference arranged by his party.

He stated that the Tories would do everything in their power to halt any possible resumption of the Palestine war. In addition, he commented that “we accept the fact that Israel has come to stay” and that his party would like to see Israel’s frontiers set finally.
