The operations of the Arab Office here have been suspended owing to the lack of funds and it is uncertain whether the Office will be reopened, it was reported today. About 15,000 immigrants are expected to reach Israel each month from now on, Dr. Israel Goldstein, retired treasurer of the Jewish Agency, declared here tonight, prior to sailing for the United States. Dr. Goldstein added that it is planned to double Jerusalem’s Jewish population in the next five years.
