Jewish Population of Miami Exceeds 40,000 As Compared to 7,500 in 1937, Survey Shows

A population study completed here reveals that the Jewish population of Miami has grown from approximately 7,500 in 1937 to 35,000 in 1947. It is estimated that the present Jewish population is upward of 40,000 and still increasing at the rate of nine percent annually. Fifty percent of the Jewish population has resided in the community for only five years or less and half of the residents come from New York City.
