Problems of concern to Israel at the United Nations General Assembly which opened this morning at Flushing Meadow were today discussed by Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko and Dr. Shmuel Eliashev, head of the East European Division of the Israel Foreign Ministry, now visiting Moscow.
In his call on Mr. Gromyko, Dr. Eliashev was accompanied by Mordecai Namir, Israel Minister to Moscow. The U.N. plan to internationalize Jerusalem was one of the points covered in the discussion, which was later termed a “very cordial conversation” by a spokesman for the Israel legation here.
