The house curfew imposed since Monday by Israel military authorities upon several villages in the Acre district for the purpose of rounding up Arab infiltrees was lifted today. The authorities announced that the action of tracing Arabs infiltrating into the area from neighboring Arab territory has been concluded.
About 200 infiltrees were caught during the search and were returned to Arab territory across the demarcation line. The Arab elders of the villages in the district helped in the search and undertook to cooperate with the Israel authorities by notifying them of each case of infiltration in the future.
A delegation of Arabs from the vicinity of Ramleh today applied to the Israel Government for an allocation of land on which to establish a workers’ settlement.
