The National Jewish Welfare Board and the Synagogue Council of America have appointed a joint committee to encourage and promote the further development of harmonious relationships between synagogues and Jewish Community Centers, the J.W.B. and the Synagogue Council announced here today.
The major functions of the committee will be to serve as a clearing and cooperating agency between the synagogue and the center, to seek to arrive at a definition of the functions of the two agencies, and to be prepared to help eliminate duplication of effort and avoid friction between the two agencies.
