The number of Jewish refugees under the care of the International Refugee Organization decreased to 35,598 by the and of October, according to the latest official statistics released here today.

The I.R.O. figures also show that the Jewish displaced persons whom it supported became a relatively minor factor as regards immigration to Israel. In the whole month of October, only 812 departures to Israel were registered, bringing the total transferred to the Jewish state since July, 1947, to 115,131 persons.
