S. Herbert Kaufran, of Harrisburg, Pa., was re-elected president of the National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods at the close of its 13th biennial convention, held here. Harold Dubinsky, of St. Louis, was elected first vice-president and in that capacity will serve as chancellor of the Jewish Chautauqua Society, the N.F.T.B,’s major national educational project.

Mr. Kaufman called on the N.F.T.B. to double the annual budget of the Jewish Chautauqua Society to $250,000. The Society is sending rabbis to 400 colleges and 150 summer camps a year and is furnishing thousands of volumes of Judaica to college libraries. However, requests from colleges and camps for these services are greater than present funds permit, Mr. Kaufman said.
