Two former commanders of Jewish slave-labor battalions have been sentenced to 20-year and five-year prison terms, respectively, by a Bucharest criminal court. The defendants–Aristide Manolescu and Constantin Georgescu–were found guilty of treating the Jews under their command with "revolting cruelty." Loss of civil rights and confiscation of their property were also ordered by the court.
