Two thousand Jews immigrated from India to Israel during the past year, it was reported here at a reception tendered by the executived of the Histadrut to H. Zynowicz, chairman of the Indian Zionist Federation, and Dr. Mozes Elder, of the Bnai Israel community in India, who served at one time as Mayor of Bombay.
Almost all of the Indian Jews have been well integrated into the life of the Jewish state. A settlement set up exclusively for Indian Jews is progressing satisfactorily and another such colony will be founded soon, it was added. Three hundred Indian youths have settled in collective settlements.
