Philadelphia Municipal Council Bans Discrimination in City Housing Projects

The Philadelphia City Council has unanimously approved an amendment to the city’s housing law barring discrimination in city housing projects. Attempts to write such a clause into the housing law were spearheaded by a Committee on Democracy in Housing, composed of representatives of various racial and religious organizations in the community.
