The Transjordan plane which was yesterday forced down in Southern Israel for violating Israel territory will be confiscated until the conclusion of a formal peace treaty with Transjordan, informed sources here predicted today.
The American passenger on the plane was identified as Charles Clinton of Philadelphia, a representative of the Yale and Towns Manufacturing Company. He was released in the custody of the American Embassy here and spent the night in a Tel Aviv hotel.
An official spokesman, announcing his release, added that the British pilot of the plane and its four Arab passengers will be turned over to the civilian authorities, presumably on charges of entering the country illegally. It is expected that they will be handed over to the Transjordan authorities.
