Paintings by Israeli artists which were exhibited in four Florida cities–Miami, Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Coral Gables–were turned over this week to the municipalities of those cities. Baruch Barkai, of Jerusalem, brought the paintings to this country from the Jewish state.

The paintings were presented to the municipalities under local Jewish sponsorship. Stanley C. Myers, president of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds, led a local Jewish committee which officially turned over an Israel painting to the mayor of Miami. Non-Jewish personalities interested in Israel also participated in the presentation ceremonies which took place at the city halls in each of the four cities.
