LEBANON (Aug. 22)
The establishment of Israel, the development of human rights and the struggle for peace are all part of a process in which individuals learn to live together, Benjamin R. Epstein, national director of the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Ieague, last night told some 300 delegates to the national convention here of Aleph Zadik Aleph, B’nai B’rith youth organization.
Mr. Epstein commended the interest of the organization in the aspects of human freedom and affirmed the necessity for youth to lead the way toward better human relations. In a reference to the Korean war, the A.D.L. leader stated that “a victory in Korea is essential as a forward step in building a permanent United Nations with power to maintain world peace. American leadership has given proof to the world of its conviction that aggression, from whatever source, will no longer be tolerated.”
