The first non-Jew from Canada has been given permission to settle in Israel together with his wife and 11 children. He is Thomas Hrenyk, a Seventh Day Adventist, who has been farming in Saskatchewan.
Mr. Hrenyk recently visited Israel to conclude arrangements for his family’s transfer there. He says he was encouraged to take the move by Jewish farmers and merchants in the area in which he lives who told him they would eventually join him in the Jewish state.
