The executive of the Jewish Agency opened its plenary session here today with the participation of thirteen members of the Jerusalem section of the Agency. The session is expected to last about ten days.

Today’s session, presided over by Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the American section, was devoted to plans for implementing the four-point economic program for Israel approved at the National Planning Conference for Israel and Jewish Rehabilitation which was held in Washington last week. Berl Locker, chairman of the Jerusalem section of the Agency, will alternate with Dr. Goldmann in presiding at the sessions.

Other subjects on the agenda include plans for the next meeting of the World Zionist Congress, scheduled to be held in Jerusalem early next summer, and organization problems of the Zionist movement in various parts of the world. Participating in today’s discussion was Israel’s Finance Minister Eliezer Kaplan. All sessions will be attended by Benjamin Browdy, president of the Zionist Organization of America, who will be a non-voting participant in the debates.
