A decision to convene a conference in Canada along the lines of the recent Washington Planning Conference for Israel and Jewish Rehabilitation was adopted here at a joint meeting of representatives of the Canadian Jewish Congress, Zionist Organization of Canada, Iabor Zionists of Canada and the Mizrachi Organization.

The meeting authorized Samuel Bronfman, president of the Congress and honorary chairman of the Z.O.C. and the United Israel Appeal, to issue a call to the Zionist organizations, the Congress and the Canadian Committee of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds, to send representatives to a planning committee for such a conference. It was stressed that the Canadian conference would have to differ somewhat from the Washington parley to allow for different conditions in this country.
