Abraham Suzkever, well-known Yiddish poet who is now residing in Tel Aviv, was the winner today of the European Literature Prize for 1950, for the best literary work published in Yiddish during the year. The prize, which was established by the European section of the Yiddish Cultural Congress, carries with it 1,000 Swiss francs.
