White House Conference Hears Piza to Bar Religious Instruction in Public Schools

Recommendations that religious instruction should net be permitted in public schools and that racial segregation should be ended in the United States were underlined by the midcentury White House Conference on Children and Youth which concluded a meeting of 5,000 delegates here this week-end. Dr. Abraham N. Franzblau, of the Hebrew Union School of Education and Sacred Music of New York, was among those who strongly urged the separation of church from state in the matter of religious education in public schools.
