Government Workers in Israel Call off Threatened Strike; Dispute Narrows Down

A threatened strike of 20,000 government workers was cancelled last night at the last minute by the employees’ union. The union explained that differences existing between the government and itself had narrowed down to only two issues–provision for family allowances and wages for truck drivers.
