The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization is sending two scientists to aid Israel, under the terms of an agreement between Israel and UNESCO, it was announced here this week-end.

One of the experts will help Israel study earthquake-susceptible regions to avoid the construction of water dams which might be destroyed by subsequent seismic disturbances. UNESCO will also send an expert to study the possibilities of harnessing desert winds to produce electricity, particularly for settlements in isolated regions. Israel is interested in the feasibility of this form of energy to provide electricity in the area north of Elath to the Dead Sea.
