A sentence of five years’ imprisonment was imposed today in Haifa District Court on an Arab found guilty of espionage in providing a neighboring country with information detrimental to the State of Israel and intended to bring about the annexation of a part of the national territory. The verdict considered the demilitarized zone in Israel as territory in which the laws of Israel apply.
