Mrs. Samuel J. Rosensohn of New York was today elected national president of the Hadassah at the mid-winter conference of Hadassah leaders now taking place here. She succeeds Mrs. Samuel W. Halprin.
A message of congratulation to the new president which arrived from Israel’s Premier David Ben Gurion said in part; “Your decision to undertake the Hadassah presidency which is not just an honorary title but a heavy responsibility entailing an enormous amount of hard work–reveals once again the greatness of your spirit and the depth of your devotion to the cause to which you have dedicated the better part of your life. I am certain that the news of your nomination will bring as much encouragement to the entire Hadassah movement as it has brought to me and its other friends in Israel.”
