U.S. Jewish Leaders to Meet in Paris on Claims Against Germany

Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the Jewish Agency, left by air for Paris yesterday for a series of urgent conferences with European Jewish leaders and Israel officials, including Mcshe Sharett, Foreign Minister of Israel. He will be joined in Paris by other American Jewish leaders for talks with Israeli officials on the coordination of claims against Germany and the procedure to be followed in negotiations with Germany.

The other Americans participating in the parley will be: Jacob Blaustein, president of the American Jewish Committee; Frank Goldman, president of B’nai B’rith; Adolph Held, chairman of the Jewish Labor Committee, and Moses Leavitt, executive vice-chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee. Blaustein, Frank Goldman, and Held are members of the praesidium of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. Dr. Goldmann is presiding officer of the praesidium. Leavitt is honorary secretary of the Conference.
