The removal of Ana Pauker, Rumanian Foreign Minister, from the Politburo of the Rumanian Communist Party means that the extremist trend within the party has gained the upper hand over the moderates led by Mrs. Pauker, according to news arriving here from Bucharest. The same sourc sources predict Mrs. Pauker’s resignation from her government post within a matter of days.

Mrs. Pauker, a Jew, has been considered the second most important Communist leader in the country. She is a long-time friend of Premier Stalin.
