Dr. Selman Waksman, Nobel Prize winner for the discovery of Streptomycin, was this week-end honored by the Elizabeth Jewish Council and the Elizabeth United Jewish Appeal which presented him with their first award in human relations. The award was made at a testimonial dinner at which Moses Beckelman, European director of the Joint Distribution Committee, spoke.
