The reactionary weekly “Wiener Montag” bat launched a new attack on the Austrian Government’s pledge to negotiate reparations with world Jewish organizations.
Commenting on the recent endorsement of that pledge by Julius Raab, the new Chancellor, the newspaper attacks some of the Jewish claims as “utterly monstrous.” As an example of such a claim, the newspaper lists the request that government pensions be paid to Austrian Jews eligible for them who were forced to flee Austria in 1938 and now live abroad.
