The Soviet officials who “framed” the 15 Moscow doctors, including a number of Jews, on charges of complicity in the death of two high Soviet leaders and of acting as “agents” for American Jewish groups, have been punished, the Moscow radio, monitored here, reported.
The authority for the statement was Nikolia M. Vasiliev, Minister of State Control of the Russian Republic. The nature of the punishment was not revealed. Among the Soviet officials arrested for manufacturing a false case against the physicians was a former Deputy Minister of State Security identified as Ryumin.
