The West German Supreme Court at Karlsruhe yesterday released without bail Werner Naumann arrested last January by the British occupation authorities as the head of a new Nazi conspiracy.

The court, which said that the ruling would not prejudice the government’s case against Naumann, a former high official in Goebbels’ Propaganda Ministry, declared that there was no “urgent suspicion” against Naumann. It added that there was no danger of his fleeing nor hampering the investigation of the plot. “
