Leon Meiss, President of the French Supreme Court of Appeals and an outstanding French Jewish leader, has been promoted to the rank of Officer of the Legion of Honor, it was announced today. M. Meiss is president of the French ORT Committee and honorary president of the Consistoire Central, the official French Jewish community.
