Dr. Marcus D. Kogel, New York City Commissioner of Hospitals, will become dean of the projected Albert Einstein College of Medicine of the Yeshiva University, it was announced here today by Dr. Samuel Belkin, president of the University.

In accepting the appointment, Dr. Kogel said: “My first duty, as I see it, is to assemble the best possible faculty and to organize a curriculum which will profit by the experience of medical educators throughout the country. I am certain that when the Albert Einstein College of Medicine opens its doors in the fall of 1955, it will do so as a school of medicine of which all Americans can be proud.
