The tenth annual observance of Jewish Book Month will be celebrated this year from October 30th to November 30th, it was announced by Dr. Sol Liptzin, president of the National Jewish Welfare Board-sponsored Jewish Book Council of America. The Jewish Book Council of America is the coordinator of the annual Jewish literary festival which is celebrated in the United States, Canada, Latin-America and in a number of European countries outside the Iron Curtain, Dr. Liptzin said.

The Jewish Book Council’s program materials include “Jewish Book Programs,” a guide to community, organization and group activities; “Jewish Book Month in Public Libraries,” by Gertrude Finkel; and a home Jewish book festival ceremony, published in English and Yiddish editions under the title, “Jewish Book Festival.”
