Maj. Gen. Vagn Bennike, chief of the United Nations truce observance staff in Palestine, called on Premier Moshe Sharett this week-end, He was accompanied by his political aides. The meeting, which lasted an hour, was officially described as a “courtesy call” to congratulate Mr. Sharett on assumption of the premier ship.
