Eight American labor leaders, representing large trade unions in both the AFL and the CIO, arrived here last night for a week’s study of Israeli labor practices and labor-management relations. Sponsored in the United States by the American Christian Palestine Committee and the National Committee for Labor Israel, they are the guests here of Histadrut, the General Federation of Jewish Labor.
Mordehai Namir, general secretary of Histadrut, welcomed the guests, hailing “the great part which American labor has played in the formation of policy toward Israel since the first days of our statehood.”
