Trade between Israel and Argentina has grown to important proportions, and general relations between the two countries, both on the official level and unofficially, are very warm and gratifying, Israel Minister Arieh Kubovy declared here.
He pointed out that while, up to 1953, Israel exported to Argentina between $110, 000 worth of industrial products and $100,000 worth of oranges, these shipments have gone up to $350,000 worth of citrus fruits and nearly $1,000, 000 worth of industrial products. Until 1952, Argentine’s exports to Israel totalled $4,200,000, mostly in meat; since then, over $5, 000,000 of Argentine exports have been shipped to Israel.
