The 1954 campaign of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York for $16,950,000 was launched tonight at a dinner at the Hotel Plaza, where 400 business, civic and philanthropic leaders pledged in excess of $2,000,000 towards the funds being sought to support 116 affiliated hospitals and social service agencies.
