The recent outbursts by Turkish nationalists which, though aimed at Greeks, also found Jewish victims, have greatly upset Turkish Jewry and hundreds have flocked to the Israel consulate in Istanbul to inquire about speedy immigration to Israel, according to reports from Turkey which were received here today.

The riots last week, which were set off by the Anglo-Greek-Turkish negotiations on the future of Cyprus, swept the major cities of Turkey. They were primarily aimed at Greeks living in Turkey, but when the looting got out of hand the mob turned on Jewish homes and shops.
