The Israel Embassy is in constant touch with the French Foreign Ministry on the Middle East arms situation and both parties are close to the situation it was indicated here today.
Commenting on Egyptian Premier Gamal Abdel Nasser’s statements about secret French sales of war materiel to Israel, sources close to the Israel Embassy said that the Israel French arms deal were not secret at all. Col. Nasser’s statements were “fantastic distortions” of a report published by the Near East Information Center, it was pointed out.
