The Swedish Foreign Office had announced the forthcoming publication, in the near future, of a White Book on the negotiations between Sweden and Nazi Germany in 1945 for the rescue of persecuted Jews.

Special attention will reportedly be paid to the role played by Felix Kersten, former masseur to Gestapo chief Heinrich Himmler, who is now a Swedish citizen. H.L. Trevor Roper, British historian, said three years ago that it was Kersten, and not Count. Bernadotte, who played the principal role. However, Hillel Storch, World Jewish Congress representative, said in a statement to a Stockholm newspaper today that both Kersten and Bernadotte made important efforts.
