Secular and rabbinical students in this city protested during the week-end the United States Government’s refusal to permit the State of Israel to purchase defensive weapons.

At the Bernard M. Baruch School of Business and Public Administration of City College of New York, some 200 students attended a rally called by the Student Zionist Organization and the Students for Democratic Action. At an emergency session, the student body of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion here unanimously voted to send a protest against the arms embargo on Israel to President Eisenhower and to ask for immediate State Department action to prevent further Arab aggression.
