The role which the Zionist movement plays in preventing Jewish cultural assimilation was emphasized here tonight by Zionist speakers at a meeting in the Hotel Astor commemorating the 52nd anniversary of the death of Dr. Theodor Herzl, founder of political Zionism, and dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of the death of Chaim Nachman Bialik, national Jewish poet. The meeting was arranged by the American Zionist Council. Speakers included Rabbi Irving Miller, Louis Lipsky and Zalman Schneour, noted Hebrew poet.
